Microsoft 365 includes Word, Excel, and PowerPoint. The full versions are paid only, but the online version can be free. Be sure to sign up for the free online version (not the "free trial").
You can sign up on your phone. In fact, the best place to sign up is probably on your phone, while you are at home. Microsoft will do security checks to verify you are a real person. They will also require that you provide a phone number for the account. Each phone number can only sign up for one free online account.
To sign up for the free online version, do the following:
Click on this link: https://www.microsoft.com/en-us/microsoft-365/free-office-online-for-the-web
Choose "Sign up for free" (not "Sign In")
Create an account - you can use an existing email address
Create a password
Put in your phone number
Important: You can only have one free Microsoft Account. Choose your account name carefully and write down your account name and password
Once you have a free account, you can use the link https://www.microsoft.com/en-us/microsoft-365/free-office-online-for-the-web to sign in, either on your phone or on a computer.
